Local782 was established to bring awareness, support, and innovation to San Antonio’s music community. Uniting musicians to create opportunity by organizing, educating, and performing.

Why Local782? Because you can’t spell “community” or “opportunity” without “unity.”

We are committed to: 

• Organizing and networking music makers with the community
• Improving working conditions
• Democratic decision-making and participation
• Archiving the diversity and history of San Antonio music
• Dignity, respect, and inclusiveness for all performers, supporters and organizations

Our goals are to:

• Restructure our unhealthy music economy with socio-economic strategies
• Help musicians achieve a collective knowledge of the music industry
• Raise the visibility of all working class musicians, media makers,and culture in San Antonio
• Work in solidarity for a fair, inclusive, and progressive music community
